🎯 TL;DR: GetTaller does NOT collect personal data, does NOT use cloud storage, and does NOT track you across other apps. All your health data stays 100% on your device.
1. Introduction
GetTaller ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, GetTaller (the "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App. By accessing and using GetTaller, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
🚫 No Personal Account Information
GetTaller does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personally identifiable information (PII). The app operates entirely anonymously with no login required.
🚫 No Cloud Storage of Health Data
All your measurements, exercise logs, meal logs, sleep records, and personal health data are stored exclusively on your device using local encryption. We do not transmit, sync, or store this data on any cloud server or external system.
🚫 No Behavioral Tracking
We do not use tracking cookies, cross-app identifiers (except as required by AdMob), or behavioral analytics to follow your activity across other applications or websites. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third-party advertisers for targeting purposes.
🚫 No Location Data
GetTaller does not request, collect, or access your device's location information.
🚫 No Contact Information
We do not access your contacts, phone number, calendar, or any contact-related data.
3. Information We DO Collect
We collect minimal, non-identifying information necessary for the app to function and improve your experience.
A. Health & Usage Data (Stored Locally)
- Height Measurements: Current height, predicted height, daily progress
- Personal Profile: Age, gender, birth date (used for calculation purposes only)
- Exercise Data: Completed workouts, exercise duration, preferences
- Nutrition Data: Logged meals and dietary information
- Sleep Data: Logged sleep hours
- App Settings: Theme preference, unit system (cm vs inches), language
Storage: All of the above is stored locally on your device using Hive (encrypted local database). This data is never sent to our servers.
B. Analytics Data (Non-Identifying)
We use Firebase Analytics (operated by Google) to understand how our app is used and improve features. The analytics we collect include:
- App launch and screen view events
- Feature usage (onboarding completion, workout started/completed, AI coach queries)
- Ad impressions and clicks (for monetization transparency)
- App errors and crash data
Important: Firebase does NOT collect personally identifiable information. You cannot be identified based on this data. If you prefer to opt out of analytics, you can disable data collection in your device settings (see Section 7).
C. Advertising ID (Ad Serving)
To serve non-personalized ads, we use Google Mobile Ads, which requires access to your device's Advertising ID. This identifier allows AdMob to serve ads but does not identify you personally and is not used for behavioral targeting.
D. Crash Reporting & Diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and technical diagnostics when the app encounters an error. This helps us improve app stability. These logs do not contain your personal health data.
4. How We Use Your Information
- App Functionality: To calculate height predictions, provide personalized exercise recommendations, and deliver AI coaching
- Analytics & Improvement: To understand user behavior and improve app features, performance, and user experience
- Crash Diagnostics: To identify and fix technical issues
- Ad Serving: To deliver non-personalized advertisements to support our free model
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
5. Third-Party Services
GetTaller integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices:
A. Firebase (Google)
- Services Used: Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Functions
- Data Shared: Analytics events (non-identifying), crash logs
- Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
B. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
- Services Used: Non-personalized ad serving (banner, interstitial, rewarded, native ads)
- Data Shared: Advertising ID, non-personalized impression events
- Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
6. Data Security
We take data security seriously. Here's how we protect your information:
- Local Encryption: Health data stored on your device is encrypted using Hive's encryption capabilities
- Transport Security: All communication with our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- No Unnecessary Data: We minimize data collection to reduce security risks
- No Cloud Backups: Your health data is not synced to cloud storage, eliminating cloud-related breach risks
Important: While we implement security measures, no system is 100% secure. If you sync your device to cloud services (iCloud, Google Drive), your local device backup may be encrypted through those services. We recommend you manage your device backup settings according to your comfort level.
7. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
A. Data Access & Deletion
Since all health data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the app following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
11. International Data Transfers
